Some people say bigger is better and plus size model Robyn Lawley is looking to prove that point to the fashion industry. Over the last 30 years, fashion designers and modeling agencies have been starving young girls down to mere skeletal figures and causing major self image issues with women of all ages. Now, the Australian stunner is redefining what beauty looks like in its natural form as she poses nude in a new photo exhibit in New York City.
Fashion and celebrity photographer Kenneth Willardt, who has photographed Lady Gaga, Penélope Cruz and Keira Knightley as well as covers for Marie Claire and Cosmo, has photographed the 6-foot-2, Ralph Lauren plus-size model for an upcoming exhibition, “Size Does Matter.”
The large-scale photos capture the size-12 Aussie in provocative nude poses with bunnies, a pony and other animals. Lawley says the show, opening Nov. 8 at 558 Gallery, will be, “unique, vivacious and a little tongue-in-cheek.”
