Just when you thought you had an app for everything, then comes NORAD’s Santa Tracker.

Whether you own a computer, smart phone, or still rock a landline, one program is continuing their incredible work at tracking Santa’s trip around the globe for the 2012 holiday.

Operating since 1955, the NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) Tracks Santa Program is back once again; bring everyone along for the journey using a surveillance approach of “radar, satellites, Santa Cams and fighter jets” to map Santa’s stopovers.

Powered by the wonderful efforts of volunteers and donations from corporate sponsors, the program provides a variety of ways for people to track Santa and the crew. This year, an estimated 25 million people will tune in through phones, computers and mobile devices.

NORAD coverage of Santa’s sleigh action will run from 5am (EST) on December 24 to at 5am (EST) on Christmas Day.

You can track Santa’s journey through the NORAD website here.
