Last year around this time, an independent artist rose from the streets of New Hampshire to Main Street USA with its pop track “Shelter”. That band is the Ron Noyes Band (“RNB”). Produced by Tony Coluccio from Global Media Music, Shelter broke on Sirius XM The Pulse and was voted in the top 30 for the year ending 2011.
The RNB was on a roll, passing Coldplay at #15 and being voted in at the Hard Rock Cafe as the #1 Band in New Hampshire by the New England Music Awards.
The roots of the RNB crossover from Rock to Americana, only to discover a hidden pop sound within. Discovered by John Popper of Blues Traveler at a club one night, John Popper, the Harmonica King, joined the band in recording their classic hit “Last to Know” (Round Cat Records). Opening for national acts like 38 Special, ZZ Top, Jonny Lang, and Bare Naked Ladies, all eyes were on the RNB.
On the anniversary of Shelter’s release, Ron Noyes joins John Popper on stage on August 26th to play a set in Honor of Presidential Candidate Ron Paul at the Sundome Arena, sold out to a crowd of 10,000. That same night, Ron and John are expected to perform at Whiskey Joe’s on the coast along with Jimmy Vaughn and Aimee Allen.
Busy, busy, busy . . . then on Sat Sept 8th the RNB (Chuck on bass, Mike on drums, Jarrod on lead, and Ron) are the featured performers at Cannon Mountain, NH for the Regional Combat Vet Motorcycle Assoc Weekend, honoring 911 workers and victims, Vets, Police, Fire and EMT workers. It should be easy to find . . . the Vets will be riding in from all neighboring states to the show.
Then its back into the studio on Sept 9th to finish up 2 pop tracks with Tony Coluccio, which were started early this year in Brooklyn, NY. And don’t miss the RNB at the Meadowbrook with HEART on October 7th.
