Bob Babbitt Legendary Bass Player – RIP

This morning legendary bass player Bob Babbitt of the Motown Funk Brothers passed away. Bob will be remembered for working with the best of the best that include:

Marvin Gaye’s “Mercy Mercy Me and “Inner City Blues”. Stevie Wonder’s
“Signed, Sealed and Delivered”. Gladys Knight’s
“Midnight Train To Georgia”. Smokey Robinson’s
“Tears Of A Clown”. Diana Ross’ “Touch Me In The
Morning”. The Spinners’, “Rubber Band Man”. The Capitols’
“Cool Jerk”, Edwin Starr’s “War”. Gloria Gaynor’s “Never Can
Say Goodbye”. Robert Palmer’s “Every Kind Of People”, and
Barry Manilow’s “Ready To Take A Chance”.

Toward the end of his career Bob is credited for working with Whitney Wolanin who has recently taken over the pop charts as an independent artist for TopNotch® Entertainment Corp.

RIP Bob, we will miss you.
