This article was viewed 2,484 times

Kathy Lee Gifford, you might want to re think drinking on the set moving forward? #justsaying  – Martin Short appeared as a guest on the  “Today Show” and WOW, did he get the most distraught question.

Kathy Lee said  – “And you and Nancy have one of the greatest marriages of anybody in show business. How many years now for you guys?” after a very brief stumble and hesitation this was his answer – “We … have … married … 36 years.”

So, you may be saying, well Troy, whats the big deal? The deal is that Short’s wife has been dead for 2 years. Nancy Dolman died in August 2010 from ovarian cancer.

OH, Kathy Lee, massive mistake honey and just because you have been doing TV for a long time, does not mean you don’t do basic research on your guests. Poo Poo on you. now go sit with Elisabeth Hasselbeck in the corner. See the clip at – www.tmz.com

In other news, Britney Spears still has no talent, but she judges others. Apparently Lindsay Lohan spends more on tanning than the average American makes and Ray J is still trying to become famous for something? Jury is still out on the next coattails he will try to ride on?

So, LIKE me, LOVE me, or HATE me! it’s what I had to say – GL

One Response to Celebrity Roundup Today – Kathy Lee Gifford’s Boneheaded Question

Pretty big faux pas from Kathy Lee. Three things: 1) KLG’s producers should have given her a quick heads up on recent events in his life even if they presumed she knew about his wife’s death. 2) She shouldn’t have gone off script – but perhaps that’s the way that show rolls. 3) Martin Short is a class act.
