Romney Out Spends Gingrich 4 To 1 To Hold Huge Lead In Florida

The Daily Beast is running an article that states that Mitt Romney and his super PAC’s are out spending Newt Gingrich by four to one in Florida. In the televised ads, Romney airs NBC Nightly News anchor Tom Brokaw’s lead into the 1997 story that Newt Gingrich is found guilty of ethics violations and is forced to step down as Speaker of the House.

The ads have been extremely effective in Florida and Romney is killing Gingrich in the latest polls. NBC and Brokaw are furious with the former Massachusetts Governor for using their news broadcast as a platform to blast Gingrich. NBC and Brokaw have both called on the Romney campaign to stop airing the ads immediately, but Romney and his campaign staff have no intentions of taking down the ads anytime soon.

In the Daily Beast article they also point out that Romney is campaigning with a three prong approach. Prong one, aggrandize Mitt. Prong two, attack Newt. And three, attribute every woe this country has been feeling lately to Barack Obama.

With two days before the Florida Primary, Gingrich needs somewhat of a “Hail Mary” pass here in the sunshine state. Newt will most likely come away from Florida realizing that he can’t go toe to toe and dollar to dollar with Romney and his big money political machine. If the former House Speaker is to have a shot, he needs to step up his attacks on Romney and give the media something they can bury the Governor with, besides just being a filthy rich, elitist┬áMormon who doesn’t pay taxes and who’s politics are not conservative at all.
