Photographer Profile: New York’s Finest Sante D’Orazio

Sante D’Orazio is a New York fashion photographer who has taken the art of the unposed candid image and has turned it into an art form. Sante D’Orazio has shot for all the big fashion magazines and all the top name fashion lines such as: Versace, Valentino, Yves Saint Laurent and more, but it’s his candid behind the scenes images, sometimes in between shots that he has published in a series of books. His first book ” A Private View” was his diary that he kept from all the big jobs he did throughout the 1990′s. I worked with Sante D’Orazio on an MTV shoot before he published his first book and he showed it to me. It was his diary with all of his test Polaroids and his notes on his shoots. Sante was born in Brooklyn in 1956 and has been capturing the world of glamour through his vision since the early 1980′s. We here at News Burner have compiled some of his work.
